Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SideDish (the “Service”), operated by Nicholas Murphy (“SideDish,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. What SideDish is
SideDish is a curated, human-verified collection of case studies on real side projects and the income they report, along with related written summaries and access to a members’ community. The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. One account per person. You may close your account at any time.
3. Membership, billing, and renewal
Paid membership costs $399 per year unless stated otherwise at the time you join.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring annual basis until you cancel. We do not store your full card details. We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes apply to renewals after the notice period.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel anytime from your account or by emailing us. When you cancel, your membership remains active until the end of the current paid period, and it will not renew. Because the Service provides immediate access to digital content, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days and we’ll work it out in good faith.
5. The community
Membership may include access to a private community (hosted on Discord). The community is subject to its own house rules and to Discord’s terms. Be respectful; no spam, harassment, or self-dealing. We may remove members who abuse the space, without refund.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute the case studies or their contents; share your login or paywalled content with non-members; reverse engineer the Service; or use it to break the law. Membership grants you a personal, non-transferable license to access the content for your own use.
7. Submissions and featured entries
If you submit your project (for example, through “Be Featured”) or are interviewed, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish the information you approve, including on the site, in videos, and in promotional clips. You confirm the information you provide is accurate, and featured founders approve their numbers before publication. You can request removal of your entry at any time.
8. No income guarantees
The revenue and income figures on SideDish are reported by the people featured and reflect their individual results at a point in time. They are examples, not promises or projections of what you will earn. Building a business carries risk; most projects make little or no money. We verify claims to a defined editorial standard, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current status of any figure. Do your own research before making decisions.
9. Verification disclaimer
“Verified” means we checked a claim against a source (interview, public post, or screenshot) within our review window. It does not mean audited or guaranteed. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SideDish and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or business losses, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms or the Service. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify members. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
